Week #1 - SITS and RRLTSP muscles

Posterior view
Rhomboid Minor - Light blue
Attachments: SP of C7 to T1
Innervation: Dorsal Scapular nerve - C4 and C5
Actions: Elevation, retraction (adduction) and downward rotation of the scapula

Rhomboid Major - Turquoise
Attachments: SP of T2 to T5
Innervation: Dorsal Scapular Nerve - C4 and C5
Actions: Elevation, retraction (adduction) and downward rotation of the scapula

Levator Scapulae - Superior Green
Attachments: Superior angle of the scapula and TP of C1 to C4
Innervation: Dorsal Scapular Nerve C3 to C5
Actions: Elevation of the scapula, extension and lateral flexion of the neck


Supraspinatus - Brown
Attachments: supraspinous fossa and the greater tubercle of the humerus
Innervation: Suprascapular nerve - C5 and C6
Actions: Abduction and flexion of the Humerus

Infraspinatus - Fuschia
Attachments: Infraspinous fossa and the greater tubercle of the humerus
Innervation: Suprascapular Nerve - C5 and C6
Actions: Lateral rotation of the humerus

Teres Minor - Inferior Green
Attachments: Superior lateral border of the scapula
Innervation: Axillary Nerve - C5 and C6
Actions: Lateral rotation of the humerus
Anterior View
Pectoralis Minor
Attachments:Ribs 3, 4, 5 and Coracoid Process
Innervations: Medial and Lateral Pectoral Nerves C5 to T1
Actions: Depression, protraction and downward rotation of scapula elevation of ribs 3-5

Lateral View
Serratus Anterior
Attachments: Anterior medial border of the scapula and ribs 1-9 anterolaterally
Innervation: Long Thoracis Nerve - C5 to C7
Actions: Protration and upward rotation of the scapula
Posterior View
Subscapularis - Turquoise (drawn on posterior side - scapula has been ghosted/taken off)
Attachments: subscapular fossa (anterior) and lesser tubercle of humerus
Innervation: Upper/Lower Subscapular Nerves - C5 and C6
Actions: medial rotation of the humerus

Posterior View
Trapezius - Fuschia
Attachments: SP C7 to T12 (general area), EOP, Nuchal Ligament, lateral 1/3 of the clavicle, acromion process, and spine of the scapula
Innervation:Spinal Accessory Nerve C3 to C4
Actions: elevation/depression, retraction, upward/downward rotation of the scapula, extension, contralateral rotation and lateral flexion of head and neck
