Anterior Antebrachium - Intermediate Group

Flexor Digitorum Superficialis - Orange

Attachments: Common Flexor Tendon, coronoid process of ulna, proximal 1/2 of anterior shaft of radius and digits 2-5 on proximal point of intermediate phalange

Innervation: Median nerver - C7, C8 and T1

Actions: Flexes digits 2-5 and the wrist

Deep Group

Flexor Digitorum Profundus - Brown

Attachments: Proximal 1/2 of medial and anterior ulna, interosseous membrance and base of the distal phalanges of digits 2-5

Innervation: Median Nerve - C8 and T1

Actions: Flexion of digits 2-5 and the wrist
Superficial Group of the Antebrachium

Flexor Carpi Radialis - Brown

Attachments:Common Flexor Tendon

Innervation: Median Nerve C6 and C7

Actions: Flexion and radial deviation (abduction) of the wrist

Palmaris Longus - Orange

Attachments: Common Flexor Tendon and anterior base of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals

Innervation: Median Nerve C7 and C8

Actions:Flexion of the wrist

Flexor Carpi Ulnaris - Green

Attachments: Common Flexor Tendon, pisiform, hook of hamate, and base of the 5th metacarpal

Innervation: Ulnar Nerve C7 and C8

Actions: Ulnar deviation (adduction) and flexion of the wrist

Anterior Brachial Compartment

Coracobrachialis - Superior Green

Attachments: Coracoid process and medial shaft of humerus

Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve C5, C6, C7

Actions: Adduction and flexion of the humerus - if laterally rotated wouldn't this do medial rotation?

Brachialis - Red

Attachments: Ulnar Tuberosity and distal 1/2 of anterior shaft of humerus

Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve C5, C6, C7

Actions: flexion of the antebrachium

Biceps Brachii - Brown

Attachments: Coracoid process, Supraglenoid tubercle, radial tuberosity

Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve C5 and C6

Actions: flexion, abduction/adduction of humerus, flexion and supination of antebrachium

Superficial Group of Antebrachium - Pronator Teres - Inferior Green

Attachments: Common Flexor Tendon (medial epicondyle), coronoid process of ulna and lateral radius (approx. 1.3 inferior/distal)

Innervation: Median Nerve C6 and C7

Actions: Pronation and flexion of antebrachium

Posterior Brachial Compartment - Triceps Brachii

Attachments: Infraglenoid Tubercle of scapula and posterior shaft of humerus

Innervation: Radial Nerve

Actions: Extension and adduction of shoulder and extension of humerus and antebrachium
